In Walibi Holland, an exciting new era is beginning for adrenaline junkies and roller coaster fans. Preparations for a groundbreaking attraction, a double single-rail roller coaster set to open in 2025, have started. This project not only signifies an expansion of the park's offerings but also promises to be an innovation in the field of amusement park attractions.

An Ambitious Start: The First Steps of the Project

The initial steps towards realizing this ambitious project commenced immediately after the Christmas holidays with the deployment of a demolition excavator. Several old buildings, previously used by the grounds service and recently serving as temporary Halloween ghost houses, are now being demolished to make way for the new themed area. This area, previously inaccessible to the public, will become the center of the new roller coaster.

Double the Fun: The Concept of the Double Single-Rail Coaster

At the heart of the new themed area, a double single-rail roller coaster, conceived by Rocky Mountain Construction, a renowned American roller coaster manufacturer, is taking shape. This coaster will offer two different tracks: a gentler ride for those who prefer a more relaxed experience and a more intense track for the more adventurous. Mascha Taminiau, the park's director, describes the experience: “You start simultaneously and arrive at the same time, and along the way, you can almost touch each other.” A special feature is that one of the tracks will take riders upside down.

Strategic Placement and Integration into the Park

The new roller coaster will be placed between four existing attractions: El Rio Grande, Condor, Goliath, and Xpress: Platform 13. Early footage from the area around the Mega-Coaster Goliath clearly shows that the construction work is in full swing. Containers filled with debris signify the progress of the preparatory work.

A Glimpse into the Future: What Awaits the Visitors?

The completion of the project is set for about fifteen months, meaning that visitors can experience the new attraction in 2025. This project represents not only a significant expansion for Walibi Holland but is also expected to become a new highlight for roller coaster enthusiasts worldwide. With the new double single-rail roller coaster, Walibi Holland is setting new standards in the amusement park world and offering an unparalleled experience that visitors should not miss.
