In a remarkable gesture of charity, the renowned amusement park Walibi Holland has announced that it will once again open its doors to numerous asylum seekers this coming winter. This decision follows a successful partnership from last year with the Central Agency for the Reception of Asylum Seekers (COA).

Soon, a temporary reception center will be established close to the bustling park. "The positive feedback and smooth cooperation from last year motivate us to pursue this path again," a Walibi representative stated. After concluding the festival season, which ends on September 1st, the park will make arrangements to coordinate the arrival of the asylum seekers in October.

The Dronten municipality emphasizes that last year's initiative, where 1,500 asylum seekers were accommodated on the Walibi grounds, was marked by mutual respect and collaboration. A network of educational institutions, volunteers, and emergency services significantly contributed to its success.

For all amusement park enthusiasts, there's good news: The events and seasons, including the Halloween celebrations lasting until October 29th and the festive "Bright Nights" from December 23rd to January 7th, will proceed as planned.

In return for its generous gesture, Walibi will receive compensation, the details of which are not disclosed.

This move by Walibi Holland once again demonstrates how businesses can make a stand and embody solidarity in challenging times. An inspiring example, one that hopefully becomes a trendsetter.
