In a significant departure from a tradition spanning nearly five decades, Walibi amusement park in Wavre, renowned for captivating families and thrill-seekers since 1975, is opening its gates for the first time for a spectacular winter event this year. From December 16th through the new year, visitors will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a world of festivity specifically crafted for the holiday season. This inaugural season combines time-honored attractions with new, wintry delights aimed at enchanting both children and adults alike.

Enchanted Theming: Four Winter Realms

Walibi showcases its versatility by transforming the park into four distinct winter-themed areas. Visitors are greeted by "Glowing Greetings," an entrance zone aglow with festive lights and sounds, crowned by a grand Christmas tree for a sparkling initial impression. The journey continues into the "Alpine Village," where a traditional Christmas market with treats and crafts beckons. "Frozen Land" presents icy splendor with its skating rink, while "Polar Playground" transports the little ones to a playful winter wonderland.

Exclusive Activities: Winter-Only Experiences

The ambiance is not the only thing tailored for the winter months; the program is specially adapted, too. At the "Crystal Pavilion" covered ice rink, guests can look forward to dazzling skating enjoyment. "Christmas Melody Road," one of the oldest attractions, is wrapped in festive attire for the season. Furthermore, "Wonder Woods" enchants visitors with a stroll through an animated, mystical forest.

Visitor Information: Operating Hours and Prices

The park welcomes its winter guests starting the weekend of December 16th and promises to remain open daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. until January 7th, 2024 (except on December 25th and January 1st). Tickets are priced at €40 for adults and €35.50 for children, while kids under a meter tall can visit the park free of charge.

Conclusion: A Festive Promise in Wintry Garb

With its winter opening, Walibi Belgium ventures into new territory, inviting guests to spend the chilly days in an ambiance full of warmth and festivity. This premiere promises an unforgettable experience for families and friends, bringing the spirit of the holidays to life and potentially establishing new traditions. The meticulous planning and execution of this winter realm demonstrate Walibi's commitment to being not just an attraction but a destination for magical memories.
