New Themed Area “Dock World” at Walibi Belgium

Walibi Belgium has officially unveiled plans for the new themed area, “Dock World.” This expansion is designed to combine the industrial charm of a harbor with the picturesque atmosphere of a fishing village. The centerpiece of the new attractions will be a multi-launch family coaster by Gerstlauer Amusement Rides.

Details About the New Roller Coaster

The new Multi Launch Family Coaster will replace the existing boat ride attraction “Gold River Adventure,” which was manufactured by Intamin. The new coaster promises thrilling experiences with a track length of 900 meters, a top speed of 65 km/h, and 14 airtime moments.

Revamping Existing Attractions

As part of the expansion, the existing attractions “Flash-Back” by Mack Rides and “Psyké Underground” by Schwarzkopf will be re-themed. This redesign aims to better integrate them into the new themed area and provide a cohesive experience.

Additional Facilities and Investment Scope

In addition to the new rides, Walibi Belgium plans to build a new restaurant, two kiosks, and several shops. The total investment for “Dock World” is estimated to be between 30 and 35 million euros. The opening is scheduled for the park's 50th anniversary next year.

Expansion of the Aqualibi Water Park

Alongside the “Dock World” expansion, the Aqualibi water park will be enhanced with the addition of “Surf Bay,” featuring four large new slides by ProSlide. This new addition aims to further enrich the existing offerings and make the water park more attractive.

Impact on the Park

The introduction of “Dock World” and the expansion of Aqualibi are part of a strategy to position Walibi Belgium as a leading leisure and water park destination. These investments are expected to increase the park's attractiveness and boost visitor numbers.
