After eight months of extensive renovation, Aqualibi reopens its gates. This significant moment marks not only the return of the park but also the dawn of a new era in the world of aquatic entertainment. Aqualibi has reinvented itself with these extensive changes, now presenting a more modern, thrilling, and environmentally friendly version than ever before.
A Milestone in the Park's History
Since its inception in 1987, Aqualibi has undergone numerous changes and expansions, yet the latest renovation is the most ambitious project in the park's history. With an investment of 30 million euros, Aqualibi has solidified its position in the Benelux region and beyond. The closure on August 28, 2023, initiated the second phase of the largest expansion and renovation in the park's history, focusing on infrastructure renewal and energy renovation.Four New Slides, Four Times the Unique Thrill
The most spectacular innovation is the 25-meter-high pyramid tower, serving as the start and endpoint for four new water slides. Each slide offers a unique experience:- Pomakai: This slide promises a unique experience with its large funnel shape and the use of double tubes.
- Wiki Wiki: The first of its kind in the Benelux, this slide offers an exciting duel experience on two lanes.
- Banzai: With its innovative water jet technology, this slide provides an unforgettable sliding duel.
- Waikiki: Combining a rapid curve with a giant wave, this slide is a first in Europe.
Guillaume Morghen, Marketing Manager at Walibi Belgium, highlights the variety and intensity of the new slides. The tower, connected by a covered walkway along the “Rapido” wild river, expands the Aqualibi experience impressively.
