As the year 2023 draws to a close, another chapter in Toverland's history comes to an end. A year that will linger in the memories of its visitors for its innovative attractions, sustainable initiatives, and unforgettable moments. In this first part of our annual review, let's revisit the highlights that shaped Toverland in 2023.

January: Comprehensive Renewal of “Troy”

The year began with an ambitious project: the most extensive maintenance ever undertaken on the legendary wooden roller coaster “Troy.” During the park's winter hiatus, intensive maintenance work was carried out. The goal was to preserve the attraction for guests in the long term and optimize the ride experience. The extensive works included replacing the top layers of wood and the steel rails to withstand the strains of high speeds up to 90 km/h. A special focus was on the complete replacement of the fly through the station – a centerpiece of the coaster that now shines anew.

February: Early Season Start with Carnival Flair

Toverland welcomed its visitors as early as February with the so-called Pre-Season. This early opening was accompanied by various Carnival specials and culinary highlights. Particular attention was paid to the Limburg Nonnevot, a local delicacy that delighted visitors. At the same time, the park set a sign for sustainability: with newly installed charging stations for electric cars and the use of solar panels, generating 31% of the park's electricity, Toverland demonstrated its commitment to an eco-friendly future.

March: Behind the Scenes of “Fēnix”

In March, Toverland invited guests for an exclusive tour behind the scenes of the Wing Coaster, “Fēnix.” Visitors had the rare opportunity to view the roller coaster tracks up close and gain insight into the technical aspects of the coaster. This “Behind the Fence Tour” offered a unique perspective on the coaster and its construction, fascinating for both roller coaster enthusiasts and technology fans alike.

April: New Entertainment Program with “Aqua Bellatores”

In April, Toverland expanded its entertainment offering with the spectacular park show “Aqua Bellatores.” This show combined acrobatics, stunts, and water magic into a breathtaking experience. Another highlight was the introduction of a new character, Joey, an adorable baby kraken who quickly became a favorite among the park's youngest visitors. With a new children's product line centered around Joey, Toverland shows how it succeeds in creating magical experiences for all age groups.

May: “Enchanted” - A Podcast Full of Magic

The magic of Toverland took on a new dimension in May with the launch of the second season of the podcast “Enchanted.” This podcast offered listeners the chance to dive into the world of Toverland, even when they couldn't be there in person. With themes around the different seasons, festive occasions, and interactive segments where listeners could contribute their questions, “Enchanted” provided a whole new way to experience the world of Toverland.

The year 2023 in Toverland was marked by innovation, sustainable development, and the creation of unforgettable experiences. This review shows how the park is committed to enchanting its visitors year after year, offering them new, exciting experiences. We can look forward to the wonders that the next year will bring.
