Toverland has introduced new systems for deposit machines and sustainable deposit cups. These measures comply with the latest regulations and aim to offer visitors an environmentally friendly option.
New Regulations at Toverland
Toverland has recently implemented new regulations concerning the use of deposit machines and deposit cups. This is part of an initiative to increase sustainability within the park. Visitors who purchase drinks such as lemonade or coffee will now be part of a deposit system designed to reduce waste.
Using the Deposit Machines
Visitors who buy a bottle of lemonade or a similar canned drink can return the deposit using the machines scattered throughout the park. However, the machine near Funhouse Villa Fiasko is no longer operational. The placement of these machines ensures that visitors always have access to a return facility.
Deposit cups for Hot Beverages
When ordering a hot beverage at one of the takeaways, customers will receive it in a sustainable, reusable deposit cup. A deposit of €1.50 is charged for this cup, which can also be refunded at the machines. The cups are equipped with a QR code that facilitates their return and recycling.
Options for Deposit Return
Toverland offers several ways to retrieve the deposit. Visitors can transfer the deposit directly to their bank account via the Tikkie app, receive it in cash as a deposit voucher redeemable at all gastronomy points, or choose to donate the deposit to the Make-A-Wish Netherlands foundation. This foundation supports children with life-threatening diseases.
Locations of the Deposit Machines
The four deposit machines in the park are strategically distributed so that visitors can easily access them at any time. Locations include the entrance area Port Laguna, near the restrooms and the souvenir shop, as well as in the Avalon theme area at Smouldering Roast. Additional machines are installed in the Wunderwald and the Magical Valley. The exact locations of the machines can be checked using the Toverland app.
