Gastronomic Addition in Avalon: Pete's Treats
Toverland recently opened a new food stand in the medieval-themed Avalon area. Since last weekend, visitors can purchase Unox Sandwichs there. The food truck, named Pete's Treats, is situated near the Dragonwatch, Garden Tour, and Jumping Juna attractions.
Diverse Offerings at Pete's Treats
Named after the dragon Spicy Pete, Pete's Treats offers not only the classic Unox Sandwich for 5.75 euros, but also a special summer version for 6.95 euros, topped with grated cheese, crispy onions, and mayonnaise. The menu also includes refreshing drinks, beer, and slushies.
History of the Food Truck
The food truck is not entirely new: during the Covid-19 pandemic, it operated as the ToverTruck at the park's entrance, serving snacks to local walkers. It has since been redesigned to seamlessly fit the medieval theme of the Avalon area.
Expansion of Dining Options in the Theme Area
With Pete's Treats, Avalon's dining options now expand to four establishments. In addition to the full-service restaurant The Flaming Feather and the Smouldering Roast takeout point, there is already a stand selling sweets like pastries, crepes, and popcorn. Smouldering Roast also offers a wide range of foods, including sandwiches, wraps, warm rolls, snacks, fries, cotton candy, poffertjes, soft ice cream, and milkshakes.
