Thorpe Park has recently made a crucial advancement in the development of its newest sensation, Hyperia. The completion of the first curve and the maintenance area heralds an exciting ride experience and underscores the park's commitment to innovative attractions.

Hyperia Takes Shape: The First Curve Excites

The installation of new track and support sections last week has significantly advanced the construction of Hyperia. The completion of the first curve, immediately after the station, is not only a visual highlight but also a pivotal step in the realization of the roller coaster project. The supports, present since December, are now connected with the tracks, completing this thrilling part of the ride.

Maintenance Area Ready for Operation: A Sign of Imminent Action

The newly installed maintenance area is another indication of Hyperia's impending launch. With the tracks and supports now in place, the area is prepared for the arrival of the trains, suggesting a nearing completion of the overall construction.

New developments in the park environment

Other progress includes the rapid construction of the new shop and photo unit. The already-erected roof and partially completed side walls in the area will soon be fully transformed, seamlessly integrating into the existing park landscape. The adjacent toilet building is also undergoing an external upgrade, hinting at a similarly appealing design.

Progress Across the Construction Site

The lift hill, another key component of Hyperia, is also taking shape. The recently erected supports and track sections for the first drop indicate that it won't be long before this impressive part of the roller coaster dominates the landscape.

Focus on Technology: Precise Alignment for Perfect Rides

Technical fine-tuning has already begun. Specialists used equipment from Mack Rides to check the track gauge and accurately align the kicker wheels. Clamps, initially thought to be for other purposes, actually serve to secure cable trays. These and additional brackets for electrical components have been installed in both the switch track area and the maintenance area.

Hyperia: A Project Filled with Anticipation

Every advancement in the construction of Hyperia at Thorpe Park brings its completion closer. The latest developments point to the imminent opening of this breathtaking new attraction. For roller coaster aficionados, the excitement is mounting, and the anticipation for the completed ride is immense.
