Last Tuesday marked a significant moment at Thorpe Park: the inaugural test run of the new roller coaster, Hyperia, developed by Mack Rides, drew a large crowd.

The Hyperia Roller Coaster

The new attraction at Thorpe Park, the Hyperia roller coaster, impressed both fans and experts during its first test run. Developed by the renowned company Mack Rides, Hyperia reaches impressive dimensions: a height of 72 meters and a total length of nearly one kilometer (995 meters). The coaster achieves a top speed of over 128 km/h and offers three spectacular inversions that send adrenaline levels soaring.

Technical Innovations and Experiences

One of the most outstanding technical innovations is the “stalled dive loop,” where the train remains inverted in the loop for an extended period. This feature provides a unique sensation of weightlessness and is a highlight of the ride. Another special feature is the “outward banked airtime hill,” an outward-leaning hill that gives riders the feeling of being weightless. These innovative elements set new standards in roller coaster technology and offer an unforgettable riding experience.

A Look at the Opening and Theme of the Coaster

The official opening date is eagerly awaited: starting May 24, visitors can experience Hyperia for themselves. The slogan “Find Your Courage” perfectly complements the brave and exciting concept of the coaster. The theme of the roller coaster is closely linked to a mythical “golden goddess,” giving the attraction a mystical and appealing aura.
