In a commendable initiative to ensure the safety of its guests, the water world of Rulantica, part of the Europa-Park Resort, recently conducted a comprehensive emergency training in collaboration with the DLRG Landesverband Baden e.V. This measure exemplifies the resort's serious commitment to protecting and caring for its visitors.

Extensive Training for Real-Life Scenarios

The annual training aimed at preparing staff for various emergencies. About 100 employees participated in this specialized training program, focusing on further enhancing the safety of the bathers. This initiative is a key component of the resort's ongoing efforts to create a safe and enjoyable environment for all visitors.

Realistic Scenarios under Professional Guidance

The so-called “RUND Training” was led by 18 qualified DLRG instructors. They trained the employees in realistically simulated accident and emergency scenarios, enacted by 16 casualty actors. In total, the staff were trained at eight different stations in the “Nordiskturn” area of the water world in life-saving techniques. These included cardiopulmonary resuscitation, the rescue of unconscious people, the evacuation of non-ambulatory individuals, and the treatment of people with spinal injuries.

Diverse Training Content

The training also covered the care of people with circulatory problems and appropriate actions for various emergencies such as heart attacks, epileptic seizures, and heat strokes. Additionally, the employees were trained in wound and fracture care, as well as in dealing with asthma and allergic shocks. This wide-ranging training demonstrates the comprehensive safety concept of the Europa-Park Resort and the high-priority given to the well-being of the guests.

Longstanding Cooperation with DLRG

The collaboration between Rulantica and the DLRG, which has been in place since the opening of the water park in 2019, further attests to the resort's commitment to safety. All Rulantica lifeguards are trained according to the strict standards of the DLRG, further highlighting the quality of the safety measures and the expertise of the staff.

Conclusion

The regular training and further education of staff in emergency prevention and response is a central aspect of the safety philosophy of the Europa-Park Resort. Through ongoing cooperation with the DLRG and investment in high-quality training measures, it is ensured that every visit to Rulantica is not only a memorable experience but also characterized by the highest safety. These measures set standards in the leisure industry and demonstrate exemplary responsibility for the welfare and safety of guests.
