In a commendable initiative to ensure the safety of its guests, the water world of Rulantica, part of the Europa-Park Resort, recently conducted a comprehensive emergency training in collaboration with the DLRG Landesverband Baden e.V. The so-called “RUND Training” was led by 18 qualified DLRG instructors. They trained the employees in realistically simulated accident and emergency scenarios, enacted by 16 casualty actors. In total, the staff were trained at eight different stations in the “Nordiskturn” area of the water world in life-saving techniques. These included cardiopulmonary resuscitation, the rescue of unconscious people, the evacuation of non-ambulatory individuals, and the treatment of people with spinal injuries.

The training also covered the care of people with circulatory problems and appropriate actions for various emergencies such as heart attacks, epileptic seizures, and heat strokes. Additionally, the employees were trained in wound and fracture care, as well as in dealing with asthma and allergic shocks.
