A serious accident on the popular wooden roller coaster Tomahawk at PortAventura has had far-reaching consequences. Two of the injured passengers are still hospitalized a month after the incident, which occurred on February 11th.

During the accident in question, passengers on the Tomahawk roller coaster were struck by branches from a fallen tree. This led to multiple injuries among the riders, two of whom have been particularly severely affected and continue to require medical treatment a month later.

The first victim, who is in critical condition, is being cared for at the Hospital Universitari de Bellvitge in Barcelona. The second injured party is receiving treatment at the Hospital Universitari de Tarragona, Joan XXIII. In response to the accident, the Tomahawk roller coaster has been closed to the public. Thirteen of the accident victims have united to file a lawsuit against PortAventura World. Through the law firm RDI Abogados, they are seeking the maximum possible compensation allowed by law.
