Sustainability at PortAventura World
Since its inception, PortAventura World has consistently implemented environmentally friendly measures. The park's attractions are powered entirely by renewable energy. A large photovoltaic system with over 11,000 solar panels supplies the park with solar power. Additionally, more than 90% of the waste generated in the resort is recycled and repurposed, making the resort a zero-waste operation.
Initiative for World Oceans Day
In honor of World Oceans Day, PortAventura World launched a new environmental protection initiative. Partnering with the #PLASTICFREEOCEANS movement and GRAVITY WAVE, a major cleanup effort was initiated on June 11. For every visitor to the park on that day, 1 kg of plastic waste was removed from the Mediterranean. This action underscores the amusement park's commitment to protecting the Mediterranean Sea and its coastal areas.
