Fire Alarm at Hotel El Paso: Cause in the Kitchen Area

On the morning of September 19, 2024, a fire alarm was triggered at Hotel El Paso, part of the popular PortAventura World resort. The alarm went off at 7:52 AM when a fire started in a transformer station located in the hotel’s kitchen and production area. According to official reports, the fire department was immediately notified, and four units from Tarragona and the surrounding region were dispatched to the scene.

Effective Firefighting Measures

Firefighters on-site acted quickly, cutting off the power supply to the affected area to prevent any short circuits. Once the electrical risk was contained, the team began fighting the fire. Thanks to the rapid response of the firefighters, the blaze was soon brought under control.

Evacuation and Guest Relocation

The affected individuals were relocated to the nearby hotels El Caribe and PortAventura.
