Dimitri Vegas, the famous DJ from the duo “Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike,” made an unexpected appearance at the theme park to celebrate the 150,000th ride of the popular roller coaster “The Ride to Happiness by Tomorrowland.”

That afternoon, joy was abundant at Plopsaland De Panne. Dimitri Vegas personally traveled to the park to mark this special occasion. About 14 lucky guests had the unique opportunity to ride the roller coaster with the star DJ. Since its opening in 2021, “The Ride to Happiness by Tomorrowland” has attracted over 2,000,000 visitors.

“The Ride to Happiness by Tomorrowland” officially opened on July 21, 2021, as Europe's first “Extreme Spinning Coaster.” The roller coaster reaches a top speed of 90 km/h and features five inversions during the ride. The free-spinning cars ensure that each ride is a unique experience. With a track length of almost one kilometer and a maximum height of 35 meters, the roller coaster offers impressive views of the park and its surroundings. An exclusively composed soundtrack accompanies guests throughout the ride, enhancing the immersive experience.
Creative Collaboration for a Unique Experience
The creation of “The Ride to Happiness” was the result of a collaboration between Plopsa and the creative team of Tomorrowland. The goal was to capture the unique atmosphere of the world-famous festival on a world-class roller coaster.
