Plopsaland De Panne, famous for its annual Halloween Scare Nights, is putting a pause on the event for 2024. Instead of the popular spooky evenings, the park is planning alternative entertainment for its visitors.

Change in Halloween Tradition

Since their inception in 2018, the Halloween Scare Nights have been a staple of the autumn calendar at Plopsaland De Panne. The goal was to compete with other amusement parks, such as Walibi Belgium and Bobbejaanland. The event featured spectacular attractions like the Freak Circus and Camping 't Zonnetje, drawing numerous visitors looking for thrills.

New Directions in 2024

The Plopsa Group, which includes Plopsaland De Panne, has decided not to continue the Scare Nights this year. The park will operate during the autumn break and on weekends in October and November from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, without the extended hours previously designated for the Scare Nights.

Reasons for the Change

A spokesperson for the Plopsa Group stated that the decision to suspend the Halloween Scare Nights is part of a strategic realignment. The park aims to explore new forms of entertainment, potentially focusing on a younger audience or families instead of the previous evening horror events.

The Future of Halloween Events at Plopsaland

Although taking a break this year, the Plopsa Group remains open to reimagining the Halloween program in the future. It remains to be seen what new events will await visitors in the coming years.
