Plopsaland De Panne is taking significant steps towards sustainability by introducing 80 electric company cars, 5 golf carts, and 2 shuttle buses, along with additional charging stations.
Transition to Electric Mobility
Plopsa is once again demonstrating its commitment to sustainability with the procurement of 80 electric company cars, 5 electric golf carts, and 2 electric shuttle buses for the Plopsa Hotel. These vehicles will undertake various operational tasks within the park and contribute to reducing the company's carbon emissions. This move is a crucial step towards creating a cleaner and healthier environment for both visitors and staff.
Expansion of Charging Infrastructure
In addition to expanding its fleet, Plopsa has collaborated with Eneco eMobility to install 40 new charging stations at parking lots 3 and 4 of the resort, complementing the existing 18 stations. This expansion aims to promote and facilitate the use of electric vehicles.
Partnership with Van Mossel
The shift to electric vehicles is being closely coordinated with Van Mossel, Plopsa’s automotive partner. This partnership leverages Van Mossel's expertise to optimally design the fleet.
Commitment to Sustainability
Kris Biesemans, CSR Director at Plopsa, emphasizes the park's ongoing commitment to sustainability. “We are determined to extend our policy with more initiatives like this,” Biesemans states. Alongside vehicle electrification, Plopsa is also focusing on energy efficiency, waste reduction, and the use of renewable energy sources.
