Phantasialand continues its tradition of renewal and expansion, unveiling a captivating new addition this season: Mopti's Monkey Depot, a creatively designed climbing playground in the African themed area. This latest attraction joins the ranks of previous enhancements like the adventure course and the African village, promising a diverse experience for the entire family.
History and Location
Mopti's Monkey Depot enhances the African themed world, Deep in Africa, situated at the park's edge near the entrance to the Colorado Adventure rollercoaster. This playground represents the park's latest expansion following the addition of an adventure course and an African village in previous years.
Concept and Design
The concept behind Mopti's Monkey Depot transports visitors to a warehouse full of African artifacts, emphasized by the intricate design. Dutchman Gert Eussen, known for his work on the Avoras climbing tower in Wuze Town, is responsible for the creative design. A portion of the playground is covered, ensuring that the climbing fun remains undiminished even in less favorable weather conditions.
Offers for Families
Focusing on family friendliness, Mopti's Monkey Depot offers a perfect blend of adventure for younger park visitors and relaxation opportunities for parents. While children can freely explore and enjoy their adventurous spirit, parents find peace in the adjacent relaxation zone, leaving daily life behind.
Year-Round Attraction
A special feature of Mopti's Monkey Depot is its availability throughout the year. Whether in the bright summer or during Phantasialand's winter dream, the playground continuously provides joy and adventure for younger guests.
