Jérémie Ebba is a name that has become synonymous with innovation and exceptional talent in the world of figure skating. Just three years ago, the notion of this young man from Rennes, France, ascending to become an international champion in acrobatic ice skating was unthinkable. Yet today, he is not only a celebrated star on the ice but also a shining example of the endless possibilities that arise from passion and hard work.
His journey began on solid ground, where Jérémie discovered his enthusiasm for dance styles such as breakdance, hip-hop, and contemporary dance. This passion eventually led him onto the ice, encouraged by his brother Dylan, an experienced freestyle ice skater. Jérémie's transition to the ice was marked by curiosity and a willingness to embrace new challenges. “I was immediately fired up when I saw what was possible on the ice,” recalls Jérémie.
Arctaris: A Winter Dream Becomes Reality
Following his remarkable victory at the Ultimate Figure Skater – Festival de Patinage Acrobatique 2023 in Paris, Jérémie took on a new challenge at Phantasialand. Here, he began rehearsals for the new ice show “Arctaris” as part of the Winter Dream.“Arctaris – The Hidden World” promises to be a show like no other. Combining a spherical light show, a fairy-tale video backdrop, and handmade costumes, the audience is to be transported into a magical world of snow and ice. In the midst of this artistic spectacle stands Jérémie, ready to shine with his talent and unique personality.
Diversity on Ice: The Ensemble of Arctaris
The ensemble of “Arctaris” reflects an impressive diversity. Ten artists from different parts of the world, including Canada and Puerto Rico, bring their individual figure skating styles to the project. Jérémie, as part of this ensemble, exemplifies the innovative fusion of different art forms on ice. Supported by choreographers such as Zabato Bebe and Ilya Viarmenich, he will not only shine in an impressive freestyle solo but also as an integral part of the ensemble performances.“Each of us brings our style, and I thoroughly enjoy adapting myself to the show and the team until everything fits perfectly,” says Jérémie. His ability to adapt and improvise is key to his success and an essential part of the creative process in Arctaris.
