Parc Astérix is planning to open an Egyptian-inspired hotel in October 2026. The new hotel complex aims to attract visitors from around the world with its comprehensive facilities and unique design.
Expanding Capacities
Parc Astérix is expanding its capacity with an impressive new project: an Egyptian-style hotel complex to be erected on the edge of the park. This development will include 300 rooms spread over four floors, promising an exceptional experience for guests. The hotel complex will serve as the fourth hotel in the park, alongside the existing facilities of Les Quais de Lutèce, Les Trois Hiboux, and La Cité Suspendue.
Extensive Facilities
In addition to various rooms, guests will have access to two restaurants with a total of 700 seats. There is an extensive spa area, a modern congress center spanning 1500 square meters, and two bars, one of which offers spectacular views from a rooftop terrace. A special feature is the four-story parking garage with 480 spaces, facilitating convenient arrivals.
Thematic Inspiration
The design of the hotel is inspired by the comic album “L'Odyssée d'Astérix” and will incorporate elements from Phoenicia, Egypt, Persia, and Mesopotamia in the hotel's design, particularly in the courtyard. The project's working title, Caravansérail, reflects the exotic and adventurous theme that will immerse guests in another world.
Future Plans and Expansion
By 2028, Parc Astérix plans to expand the existing Les Trois Hiboux hotel by 108 rooms. An enlargement of the parking lot is also planned. Long-term plans from 2028 to 2031 include a fifth hotel, aiming to increase the total number of rooms to over a thousand.
