In an impressive ceremony that marked the culmination of a challenging year of training, the Parc Astérix honored its latest graduates. On November 29, 2023, a festive diploma ceremony was held, where 122 graduates were recognized for successfully completing various training programs. These programs spanned a wide array of fields including reception, hotel & catering, security, sales, technical services, shows, finance, human resources, and marketing. The event, supported by AFDAS and Pôle Emploi, underscores the park’s commitment to education and professional development.

Education as the Key to Success

The awarding of diplomas to the graduates of the 2022 and 2023 seasons demonstrates Parc Astérix ongoing endeavor to nurture its employees across various professional disciplines. With a range of certifying courses and programs, the park places a special focus on the career development and qualification of its staff, both for permanent employees, apprentices and seasonal workers.

A Message from the General Director

Dominique Thillaud, the General Director of Compagnie des Alpes, highlighted the importance of these initiatives: “In an ever-changing professional landscape, training and nurturing future talents is essential. At Parc Astérix, we have decided to offer certifying training to provide our employees with the best opportunities for advancement and professionalization.”

The Importance of Dual Certification

A key component of the training initiative is the POEC course (Préparation Opérationnelle à l’emploi Collective). This course allows participants to simultaneously obtain an industry qualification certificate and one of three professional competency certificates, recognizing both technical qualifications and practical experience in the working environment of Parc Astérix.

Commitment to Dual Education and Social Integration

The park has also strongly committed to dual education. In 2023, over a hundred apprentices were active in various areas of the park, from CAP to BAC+5 or engineering schools. Moreover, since 2015, Parc Astérix has been part of the HOPE program, which in collaboration with AFPA, aims at training and integrating refugees. Furthermore, the park supports internally promoted managers with specialized training programs that offer a professional competency certificate in local management.

Conclusion

The diploma ceremony at Parc Astérix is more than a celebration of individual achievements; it embodies the park’s ongoing commitment to training and talent development. Through partnerships with AFDAS, Pôle Emploi, AFPA, INFA, JMSA, PROMEO, and PROLIVE, the park continues its tradition of playing a key role in training and professionalizing talents in the leisure sector.
