Nigloland, located in the idyllic vicinity of Troyes, opens its gates until November 11, 2024, for a season full of fun and innovations. A highlight this year is the introduction of an attraction dedicated to majestic butterflies.
The Magic of Nigloland
Situated in the heart of the Aube department, Nigloland welcomes visitors to its expansive 45-hectare area for an adventure lasting until Monday, November 11, 2024. This period promises to be filled with play, fun, and unforgettable moments.
Innovations and Highlights
Last year’s transformation of the “Rivière enchantée” into the “Rivière des fées” marked the beginning of a series of magical renewals. This year, “The Flight of the Butterflies” continues this tradition, offering a celestial stroll. To properly showcase this attraction, a part of the park has been transformed into the “Niglo-Forest,” now specifically dedicated to families and children.
A Family Affair
The story of Nigloland is closely linked with the Gelis-Caron family, who have a long tradition in theatre, circus, and fairgrounds. The park's founding in 1987 by brothers Philippe and Patrice Gelis on family land continues with the latest generation, Rodolphe and Valentine, taking the helm at the beginning of 2017.
Attractions and Awards
With over forty attractions, including 12 thrill rides and 27 suitable for children under one meter, as well as eight restaurants and the 4-star Hotel des Pirates, Nigloland was voted the best park in France in 2023.
Thematic Villages
Visitors can explore four thematic villages, including the Marvelous Village with 16 attractions, the Canadian Village with 8, the Swiss Village with 7, and the Rock'n'Roll Village, also with 8 attractions.
The Specialty of the Park Landscape
Nigloland stands out for its lush vegetation, giving visitors the feeling of wandering through a blooming village. This natural setting significantly contributes to the park's poetic atmosphere.
Challenges and Successes
With attractions like the “Extreme Dungeon,” the world’s highest rotating drop tower, and the water coaster “Krampus Expedition,” Nigloland demonstrates that it is much more than just an amusement park for toddlers.
