Movie Park Germany is launching the search for new performers for this year's Halloween Horror Festival. Interested individuals aged 18 and above can showcase their talents at the casting on July 6 and become part of Europe's largest Halloween event.
Searching for monsters for the Halloween Horror Festival
Movie Park Germany, Germany's largest film and amusement park, is preparing for the 2024 Halloween Horror Festival. Although summer has just begun, the park is already looking for new performers for its spooky autumn event. These new monsters will join the existing troupe to terrify visitors both on the streets of the park and in the haunted houses.
Casting on July 6, 2024
On Saturday, July 6, 2024, Movie Park Germany will host an open casting call. They are seeking individuals aged 18 and above who are willing to showcase their scariest personas on selected dates from September 28 to November 10. The aim is to bring the Horrorwood Studios set to life and frighten the guests.
First Part: Transformation into a Monster
In the first part of the casting, candidates must demonstrate their skills as monster performers by doing their own makeup. They will receive support and tips from experienced performers, known as "old monsters." Candidates are encouraged to bring their own costumes, makeup, and brushes, but the park will also provide makeup materials if needed. Participants without their own costumes are advised to wear old clothing.
Second Part: Acting in the Haunted Houses
In the second part of the casting, applicants will enter one of the themed haunted houses to perform their roles in front of the jury.

The meeting point for the casting is at 6:30 PM at the staff entrance of the park, Movie Park Germany, Warner Allee 1, 46244 Bottrop-Kirchhellen. This entrance is about 400 meters to the right of the main entrance. On the day of the casting, a profile photo without a costume and a printed resume are required. All applicants must pre-register via email at hr@moviepark.de.
Children's Halloween: Staff Aged 16 and Above Needed
Movie Park Germany is also looking for staff for the Children's Halloween, another highlight of the park. Interested individuals must be at least 16 years old and enjoy working with children. Responsibilities include supervising face painting, pumpkin carving, and overseeing arts and crafts activities. Applications for these positions can be submitted via the online application form (movieparkgermany.de/jobs). The casting for these positions will take place separately.
