Movie Park Germany has a special surprise for its visitors this year: its very first winter opening. The event “Hollywood Christmas” combines the glamour world of Hollywood with the festive atmosphere of the Christmas season. Since last weekend, a specially decorated part of the park has been open to visitors, featuring a comprehensive program of light shows, parades, and special attractions.

Drone Show as the Main Attraction

The “Hollywood Christmas Sky” drone show is the centerpiece of the evening program. As darkness falls, hundreds of illuminated drones dance synchronously to music, forming impressive patterns, words, and symbols in the sky. This innovative show is weather-dependent and is only presented under optimal conditions.

Festive Atmosphere Around the Christmas Tree

Another highlight is the “Christmas Tree Celebration”. This event takes place in the early evening and delights visitors with a combination of impressive light effects and a spectacular fireworks display that transforms the central Christmas tree into a sea of lights.

Entertainment for All Ages

In the park's saloon, Santa Claus himself appears, flanked by his cheerful elves, ensuring a merry atmosphere. The Dutch illusionist Christian Farla presents his special Christmas show “A Magical Christmas Tale” in Studio 7. This show fits perfectly into the festive season, transporting visitors to a world of magic and illusion.

The facade of the Time Riders attraction comes to life with video projections for the “Christmas Mapping Show,” telling Christmas stories that spark the imagination.

Parade and Dance: A Feast for the Senses

The transformed “Christmas Boulevard” (formerly Hollywood Boulevard) serves as the stage for the “Hollywood Christmas Parade”. With illuminated floats and festive music, an unforgettable parade is created, transporting visitors to a fairy-tale world. In Nickelodeon HoHoHoliday Land, the winter version of Nickland, guests meet the popular Nickelodeon characters in Christmas outfits and can participate in the “Nickelodeon Dance Party Christmas Edition”.

Winter Recreational Activities

On Rockefeller Plaza, known as the winter version of the Streets of New York, visitors can go ice skating. A curling lane on Christmas Boulevard offers additional fun. In the 4D cinema Roxy, a special version of the Christmas classic “The Polar Express” is shown. A “Christmas Special Edition” of the Movie Park Studio Tour roller coaster completes the offerings.

Culinary Highlights and Unique Souvenirs

Numerous food trucks provide for the physical well-being, offering winter delicacies such as waffles, baked potatoes, and mushrooms. The main character of Hollywood Christmas, S.A.D., a mix of film clapboard and Yeti, is available as a plush toy. Other souvenirs include Christmas balls in Movie Park style and an advent calendar.

Limited Access to Attractions

While the Santa Monica Pier themed area remains closed except for the Ferris wheel and ship swing, most attractions are open. However, some rides, including Iron Claw, The Bandit, and Splat-O-Sphere, are closed during winter. The remaining attractions are operational depending on weather conditions.

Conclusion

With “Hollywood Christmas,” Movie Park Germany presents an extraordinary winter experience, characterized by a perfect mix of traditional and modern elements. The combination of light shows, parades, performances, and winter activities offers a unique experience for the whole family, making a visit to Movie Park Germany an unforgettable event during the Christmas season.
