Movie Park Germany is gearing up for the Cosplay Days on June 22 and 23, 2024, celebrating its fifth anniversary with an event spanning two days for the first time. Around 500 cosplayers and well-known personalities from the scene will make the event a highlight of the summer.

Cosplay Days Celebrate Their Fifth Anniversary

For the first time, the Cosplay Days at Movie Park Germany will take place over two days. On June 22 and 23, 2024, the park will become the stage for around 500 cosplayers and numerous stars from the scene, making the event an unforgettable experience.

Diverse Program and Spectacular Costumes

The park transforms into a massive catwalk where hundreds of cosplayers showcase their elaborate costumes from the film, cartoon, and gaming scenes. Besides a grand parade, the event features a cosplay contest judged by a distinguished panel.

Positive Development and Expansion

“The Cosplay Day has continuously evolved and grown over the past few years,” says Thorsten Backhaus, Managing Director of Movie Park Germany. Due to the positive feedback, it was decided to expand the event to two days for the fifth anniversary, offering guests more opportunities to immerse themselves in the world of film.

What is Cosplay?

Cosplay, a blend of “costume” and “play,” involves portraying a character from film, manga, video games, cartoons, or series as accurately as possible. Often, the costumes are handmade and require several hundred hours of work.

Prominent Support

This year, Movie Park Germany has once again enlisted prominent support. Tattoo and body painting artist Carina Pusch, hair and costume artist Kami Zero, as well as cosplayers Tingilya Cosplay, nimue (formerly FaerieBlossom), and Orin Cosplay, will be present and serve as judges.

Event Schedule

The event starts at 10:00 AM on both days, with the guest greeting at Hollywood Boulevard. After the group photo at 11:00 AM in Studio 7, the action moves into the park, where visitors can meet the cosplayers. The Cosplay Day Parade takes place at 3:00 PM, followed by the Cosplay Contest at 4:30 PM on the New York Plaza stage. The event will be hosted by Marylin Monroe on the first day and Chris Shark, the host of the Golden S.A.M. Awards and the Stunt Show at Movie Park, on the second day.
