Movie Park Germany embraces advanced AI technology for ride monitoring. The new “DMT RideGuard” system offers increased safety and efficiency through real-time surveillance.
Technological Innovation in the Amusement Park
Following a successful pilot on two attractions since August 2023, Movie Park Germany, part of the Parques Reunidos group, officially adopts the “DMT RideGuard” system. This cutting-edge monitoring system, developed by DMT GmbH & Co. KG, a company of the TÜV Nord group, enables continuous tracking of the mechanical stress on rides.
Key Features of the System
“DMT RideGuard” utilizes state-of-the-art IoT sensor technology and intelligent algorithms to monitor vibrations, shocks, and movements of the rides in real-time. This data is transmitted directly to a cloud application, providing park operators with a detailed overview of the condition of their attractions.
Enhanced Maintenance Strategies
The system not only supports daily routine checks and comprehensive maintenance work but also optimizes the scheduling of maintenance intervals. “With precise data analysis, we can plan maintenance more targetedly and minimize downtime,” explains Konrad Widera, product manager at DMT.
Positive Results After the Test Phase
Carsten Prang, technical manager at Movie Park Germany, comments on the benefits: “DMT RideGuard has proven to be an indispensable tool that helps us detect disruptions early and respond quickly.”
Gains in Safety and Efficiency
Integrating “DMT RideGuard” into the park’s safety strategy contributes to more comprehensive safety management. “Continuous monitoring enhances the safety of our visitors and strengthens their confidence in our attractions,” adds Prang.
