Fresh Tunes and New Costumes for the Country Bear Jamboree

The “Country Bear Musical Jamboree” attraction at Magic Kingdom Park has undergone an exciting overhaul. The show now features a series of new songs that are sure to delight visitors. Highlights include country versions of popular Disney songs such as “Try Everything” from “Zootopia” and “Kiss the Girl” from “The Little Mermaid.” A special treat is the original song “Come Again,” a newly composed song created specifically for the reopening.

Collaboration with Renowned Country Singers

The reimagining of the attraction was carried out in collaboration with Walt Disney Imagineering and well-known country singers. Mac McAnally, a noted country singer, lends his voice to the character “Terrence,” also known as “Shaker,” and performs the song “Fixer-Upper” from “Frozen.” Emily Ann Roberts, a talented singer, voices the character “Trixie St. Claire.” This musical collaboration ensures an authentic and captivating show.

The Significance of the Country Bear Jamboree for Musical Heritage

The reopening of the “Country Bear Musical Jamboree” attraction highlights the importance of the rural South's musical heritage. The revamped show offers a platform for multiple generations of families to share unforgettable moments. The emphasis on trying new things and embracing challenges is at the heart of the new production.

Historical Roots of the Attraction

The Country Bear Jamboree is one of the last attractions that Walt Disney himself helped to design. Since its opening in 1974, it has become a staple of Magic Kingdom Park, enchanting visitors of all ages.

Artists' Remarks

Mac McAnally commented on the reopening: “I did my best to honor the spirit of the bears and the great Disney songbook, but also the heart and soul that flows through the veins of country music.” Emily Ann Roberts hopes that “people, when they hear Trixie's song, will be encouraged to try new things, to fail, and to try again.”
