Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, just minutes from Magic Kingdom Park, showcases the renovation of its iconic lobby. Since 1988, the resort has epitomized Victorian charm, and it now enhances its ambiance with a new lobby bar and a refreshed, garden-inspired design.

New Lobby Bar: Elegance Meets Relaxation

A standout addition awaits guests: a sophisticated lobby bar inspired by the Grand Floridian’s iconic birdcage. Intricate woodwork, stained glass windows featuring colorful birds, and brass accents reflect the resort’s Victorian roots. Murals in the atrium continue the avian theme, while the cherished Victorian birdcage elevator remains opposite the bar. Guests will soon savor refreshing drinks amid soft piano music, sparkling chandeliers, and fragrant floral arrangements.

Refreshed Lobby Design

The renovation extends to the entire lobby, grand staircase, and reception area. Botanical accents and inviting colors create an airy, garden-like atmosphere. New carpets display Victorian-inspired borders and hand-drawn floral patterns reminiscent of early 20th-century botanical studies. Updated furniture blends polished finishes and brass details with cozy fabrics, incorporating playful elements inspired by Florida’s natural beauty. Disney Imagineers carefully preserve the resort’s heritage while breathing new life into the lobby.
