LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort is on the brink of unveiling its latest sensation: the world's first LEGO® Dueling Roller Coaster. Set to open in spring 2024, the Minifigure Speedway promises a superlative experience, combining speed and competition in a way never before seen in amusement parks.

Unique Design and Impressive Technology

What sets the Minifigure Speedway apart is its revolutionary dueling format. This concept allows visitors to compete in cars that can drive both forwards and backwards on two parallel tracks. Inspired by the legendary speedway tracks around the world, this roller coaster brings a racing sensation to the park that is unparalleled.

With a top speed of 56 km/h (about 35 mph), not only will Minifigure Speedway be the fastest roller coaster in LEGOLAND Windsor Resort, but it will also set a new level of excitement for families and coaster enthusiasts. Its dynamic track design and the use of cutting-edge technology underscore the resort's ambition to be a forward-looking leisure destination.

A Project of Significant Magnitude

The development of the Minifigure Speedway, with an investment of 10 million pounds, highlights LEGOLAND Windsor Resort's aspirations to establish itself as a leading leisure destination. The coaster is being manufactured by Zierer, a renowned company in the amusement park industry, and is already under construction.

Helen Bull, Division Director at LEGOLAND Windsor Resort, commented on the significance of the new attraction: "The Minifigure Speedway will not only be our fastest, but also one of our most exciting coasters. We look forward to offering our guests a unique experience – a race where cars duel forwards and backwards."

Additional Innovations at LEGOLAND Windsor

The introduction of the Minifigure Speedway is part of a series of exciting developments at LEGOLAND Windsor:
- LEGOLAND Adventure Golf: Recently, the world's first LEGO® themed indoor golf attraction opened at the resort.
- LEGOLAND Woodland Village: Work is underway on a new accommodation that will include 130 cabins, 20 camping barrels, a restaurant, and a family entertainment area, set to open in May of next year.
