Children across the country can now apply to become the first Mini-Mayor of Miniland London at the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort. The competition celebrates the recent redesign of the London area in Miniland. Young LEGO enthusiasts aged 5 to 12 are invited to submit their creative ideas.
Mini-Mayor Competition Kicks Off
The LEGOLAND Windsor Resort is searching for its first Mini-Mayor of Miniland London. Kids aged 5 to 12 can share their vision for the attraction by submitting a mini-manifesto. The task is to propose what they would add, design, or change in the scene. The competition runs until April 15, 2025.
Creativity at the Core: The Mini-Manifesto
Young builders can showcase their ideas in various formats. Submissions may include a video of up to 1.5 minutes, a written proposal, a colorful drawing, or a photo of a self-built LEGO model. All entries are uploaded via the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort website. The winner’s idea will be brought to life as a LEGO creation.
Prizes and a Place of Honor
The winning design will be crafted into a LEGO model and given a permanent spot in Miniland London. The Mini-Mayor will also enjoy an overnight stay at one of the three LEGOLAND Windsor Resort hotels, receive park tickets, and get a LEGO goodie bag. Ramesh Ganeson, Vice President of the resort, says, “This competition is a fantastic opportunity for kids to unleash their creativity.”
Miniland London Shines in New Design
The redesign of Miniland London inspired this initiative. New additions like the Cheesegrater Building and City Hall now complement the refreshed Gherkin, together recreating London’s iconic skyline. Ganeson adds, “We’re thrilled to redesign the skyline and mark the occasion with this search.”
Calling All LEGO Fans
The LEGOLAND Windsor Resort encourages every LEGO enthusiast to join in. “We can’t wait to see the incredible designs that come our way,” Ganeson notes. The winning entry will be unveiled and remain part of the attraction.
