A special glow filled LEGOLAND® Billund today as children from the Julemærkehjemmen, Denmark's children and youth homes, lit the Christmas lights of a gigantic LEGO® DUPLO® tree. This act of lighting marked the commencement of a remarkable auction: five unique LEGO mosaics, crafted by these young talents, are up for sale to support the Julemærkehjemmen.

Christmas Miracle in LEGO®: An Auction for a Good Cause

The creativity and dedication of the children from the Julemærkehjemmen have produced five impressive LEGO mosaics depicting this year's Julemærke. Each of these artworks, comprising a total of 125,240 LEGO bricks, is the result of collaborative efforts across the five Julemærkehjemmen in the country. The auction, which started today and runs until December 31, offers a rare opportunity to own a piece of LEGO history while supporting a charitable cause.

Christian Woller, Director of LEGOLAND, expressed his excitement and hope that the auction would attract significant interest and raise considerable funds for the Julemærkehjemmen.

A Strong Partnership: LEGOLAND and Julemærkehjemmen

Søren Ravn Jensen, Director of the Julemærke Foundation, emphasized the importance of the collaboration with LEGOLAND. The Julemærkehjemmen provide support to children facing challenges such as bullying, loneliness, and mental health issues. LEGOLAND, a destination aimed at families with children, proves to be an ideal partner to bring joy and hope to these children.

Jensen thanked LEGOLAND for its commitment to visiting the Julemærke children this year and creating the mosaics with them. These actions contribute to moral support and help raise necessary funds for the foundation's ongoing work.

Festive Joys: Christmas at LEGOLAND®

The opening of Christmas at LEGOLAND® brought additional excitement. From today until December 31, visitors can enjoy the festive atmosphere of the park on selected days. Woller announced that new activities, including toboggan runs and an indoor snowball fight, await guests this year. These additions are intended to create an even more magical Christmas ambiance.

How to Participate and Support

Those interested can bid on the LEGO mosaics on the official website, odendo.dk/legoland-og-julemaerkefonden. In addition to auction information, visitors will find details about the Christmas activities at LEGOLAND on www.legoland.dk.

The commitment of LEGOLAND® and the Julemærkehjemmen reflects the true spirit of the holiday season – a time of joy, sharing, and community. By combining creativity and charity, these organizations demonstrate how the festive and the meaningful can harmoniously come together. The auction of the LEGO mosaics offers a unique opportunity not only to acquire an exceptional piece of art, but also to make a contribution that directly impacts the lives of young people. This holiday season, LEGOLAND® Billund becomes a place of light, love, and hope, warming the heart of every visitor.
