On the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, a small fire broke out in Legoland Billund in Denmark, causing damage to parts of the miniature world. A short circuit in a charging station for miniature vehicles is suspected to be the cause.

Damage in Miniland

In the Miniland of Legoland Billund, where famous buildings are recreated with around twenty million Lego bricks, a fire broke out in the early morning hours at around 4:00 AM. Surveillance footage shows the fire starting in one of the harbor areas. Fortunately, no visitors were in the park at that time, so no one was injured.

Suspected Cause and Firefighting Efforts

Preliminary findings suggest that the fire was triggered by a short circuit in a charging station for miniature vehicles. The fire brigade managed to extinguish the fire quickly, but some decorative elements were damaged. The exact circumstances are still being investigated to ensure future safety.

Cleanup and Safety Measures

Immediately after extinguishing the fire, staff began cleaning and clearing the area. Additionally, all electrical installations in Miniland are being checked and renewed if necessary. The affected areas will remain closed until all necessary repairs are completed.
