Christmas 2024 at LEGOLAND® Billund: Festive Fun for Families and LEGO® Fans

LEGOLAND® Billund invites families and LEGO® fans to a magical Christmas season in 2024. From November 30 to December 31, the park transforms into a festive winter wonderland. In addition to popular attractions, visitors can enjoy an expanded program of Christmas cheer now extending beyond the park's borders.

Festive Joy in the Park: Seasonal Activities and Decorations

During the holiday season, LEGOLAND® Billund glows with sparkling lights and festive decorations. Everywhere in the park, twinkling fairy lights create a magical atmosphere, and lovingly decorated stalls offer the irresistible aromas of freshly baked apple cake and roasted almonds. Visitors can immerse themselves in various winter activities, including indoor snowball fights, sledding on specially constructed hills, and ice skating on the park’s rink. Thrill-seekers won’t be disappointed, as many of the park's most popular rides remain open, ensuring excitement for guests of all ages.

A Highlight for Everyone: The LEGO® Santa Hunt

This year’s Christmas season features a brand-new highlight: the LEGO® Santa Hunt. LEGO® Santa and the LEGOLAND® Christmas Princess will embark on a secret tour across the region. Whoever finds Santa outside the park and tells him the secret password will win a Christmas sack filled with gifts from LEGOLAND®. For those unable to locate Santa outside the park, there’s another chance: Santa will also appear inside LEGOLAND®, where visitors can snap a photo with him. By posting the photo on Instagram with the hashtag #julilegoland, participants will automatically enter a raffle for an additional Christmas sack.

A Special Opening: Lighting of the LEGO® DUPLO® Christmas Tree

The festive season at LEGOLAND® Billund begins with a special event on November 30. From 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, visitors can enjoy free entry to the park and experience its enchanting holiday atmosphere. At 5:00 PM, the spectacular 10-meter-tall LEGO® DUPLO® Christmas tree will be lit in a grand ceremony accompanied by the South Jutland Girl and Boy Choir, which will sing traditional Christmas carols. Later in the evening, the LEGOLAND Billund Garden Band will perform festive melodies, adding to the celebratory ambiance.

Extended Opening Hours for Even More Holiday Fun

LEGOLAND® Billund will open its gates on 17 selected days between November 30 and December 31. On Saturdays, visitors can enjoy the park from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, while on other days, opening hours are from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. On December 31, the park will close slightly earlier, at 4:00 PM, giving guests a chance to celebrate the New Year in their own way.

Expanding Christmas Magic Beyond the Park

For the first time in the history of “Christmas in LEGOLAND®,” the festive spirit will extend beyond the park's borders. The LEGO® Santa tour is a testament to the park’s commitment to bringing the magic of Christmas to even more families. Michael Ottesen, Director of LEGOLAND® Billund, emphasized that this new initiative aims to create unforgettable memories for families both inside and outside the park. “We don’t just want to delight our guests in the park; we also want to reach those who may not be able to visit LEGOLAND® this year,” Ottesen stated.
