A New Water Playground Opens in the LAND OF PIRATES

The “Pirate Water Fun” playground, an innovative water attraction, has opened at LEGOLAND® Deutschland Resort. The new feature spans an area of 100 square meters and captivates visitors with 1,024 randomly spraying water jets that continuously create new and unpredictable patterns.

Sustainable Design and Technology

The water playground was constructed using recyclable aluminum and utilizes water from the resort's own water network. Thanks to an integrated energy storage system, the attraction consumes only as much energy as a standard refrigerator, making “Pirate Water Fun” a model of sustainability.

Adventure for Young Pirates

Children can engage in interactive games and water battles in the new playground. The surroundings are themed with LEGO® pirate flags, treasures, and figures, enhancing the sense of adventure.

Opening on a Sunny Day

The festive opening took place on a sunny day. Frank Schmid, Director of Technical Service at LEGOLAND® Deutschland Resort, emphasized the eco-friendly design of the new attraction: “The environmentally friendly design of our new attraction was essential to us. The ‘Pirate Water Fun’ should not only be a place full of adventure, but also a model of sustainability, and that has been absolutely achieved.”
