On the last day of the summer holidays, Legoland Günzburg hosted a special event: FC Augsburg captain Jeffrey Gouweleeuw visited the park as part of the 16th Youth Football Day organized by the Bavarian Football Association (BFV). Despite the rainy weather, numerous young football fans flocked to the park to meet their idol.
One Hour with the Fans: Autograph Session with Jeffrey Gouweleeuw
At 1:30 PM, the autograph session began on the Burgbühne stage in the “Land der Ritter” area. For one hour, the defender signed fan items such as team posters and took selfies with the excited children and teenagers. As a father himself, Gouweleeuw took his time to fulfill the fans' wishes, making sure each got their moment.
FCA Promotional Booth and Sports Challenges
In addition to the autograph session, FC Augsburg also hosted a promotional booth where young football enthusiasts could showcase their skills in a goal-shooting challenge. Small prizes such as FCA wristbands, flags, and pens were handed out – a fitting treat just before the start of the school year.
The Youth Football Day not only gave the participating kids the chance to meet a Bundesliga star up close, but also helped develop their football skills. Despite the mixed weather, the event saw a large turnout, and Gouweleeuw was patient and friendly as he interacted with the fans.
