Just in time for the 2024 summer holidays, Holiday Park in Rhineland-Palatinate has unveiled two new rides. With “Blinky’s Soapbox Racers” and the “Greenville Bus,” the park kicks off the summer season and marks another milestone in the new Blinky Bill themed area.
Two new rides enhance Holiday Park
Last Saturday, Holiday Park celebrated the opening of the attractions “Blinky’s Soapbox Racers” and the “Greenville Bus.” These two rides are part of the newly developed Blinky Bill themed area, whose first construction phase is now complete. By 2025, the park will invest nearly 2.8 million euros in this project, underscoring its commitment to continuously providing new and exciting experiences for its visitors.
Summer Program and Extended Hours
With the new attractions, Holiday Park also launched its extensive summer program. Every Saturday during the summer holidays, the park will remain open until 10:30 PM. These extended hours allow guests to enjoy night rides and a spectacular fireworks display. Additionally, the park features seven water attractions, offering a refreshing escape, especially on hot summer days.
Events and Highlights
A special highlight of the season is the RPR1. Summer Nights. On July 20th, visitors can look forward to a special program with DJs and live bands. For younger guests, there is the Summer Nights KIDS event, featuring popular children's singer Markus Becker. His hits like “The Red Horse” and “Pirate Dance” always create a festive atmosphere and are beloved by the younger crowd.
Expanding Family Offerings
The new rides are not only a boon for the park but also expand the offerings for younger children. Particularly in the area of the bigFM Expedition GeForce roller coaster, which has traditionally catered to older visitors, there is now something for the little ones to enjoy. Bernd Beitz, Director Germany of Holiday Park Operator Plopsa, emphasized, “We wanted to offer our guests even more fun and exciting experiences as quickly as possible, which is why we decided to open the first two attractions earlier.”
Blinky Bill as Mascot
Blinky Bill, the namesake of the new themed area, is also present in the park, providing unforgettable photo opportunities. The character is especially popular with children and contributes to the family-friendly atmosphere of the park.
Background Information
Holiday Park, located in Rhineland-Palatinate, is the largest amusement park in the region. In addition to the new rides and extensive summer program, the park offers various attractions, including the Super Wings Water Playground, which opened in 2023. This water attraction is a popular spot for families, especially on hot days.
