Heide Park in Soltau has tightened its security measures after a recent incident where a visitor wore a t-shirt with a far-right message. This event has led to significant changes in the park's regulations.

Stricter Security Measures Following the Far-Right Incident

Heide Park Soltau recently faced a troubling situation when a visitor was seen wearing a t-shirt with the message “Auch ohne Sonne braun” and “Sonnenstudio 88.” The number “88” is commonly used by neo-Nazis as a code for the Hitler salute. A photo of the visitor in the park was posted on Instagram, bringing the incident to light. The event took place about two weeks before it was made public.

The park management confirmed that the visitor was approached by security and informed about the park's rules, which strictly prohibit wearing clothing with defamatory, unconstitutional, or morally offensive symbols. The visitor was given the choice to either change the t-shirt or leave the park. The visitor chose to leave.

Consequences and Measures Against Extremism

In response to this incident, Heide Park Soltau immediately implemented stricter rules. From now on, anyone engaging in far-right actions, such as making the Hitler salute or wearing related clothing, will be promptly expelled from the park and may face legal action. The park management emphasizes its zero-tolerance policy towards extremism.

Support from Visitors and Trained Staff

The park also relies on the support of its visitors, encouraging them to report any incidents they witness. Additionally, the park's security personnel undergo regular training to identify and prevent extremist actions. These training sessions are part of the park’s broader strategy to consistently combat all forms of extremism.

Looking Back: Previous Incidents

This recent incident is not the first of its kind at Heide Park. Last year, a visitor was expelled from the park for wearing a t-shirt with the slogan “Punch a Nazi.” However, the verbal ban imposed on the visitor did not hold up, sparking further discussion in the media.
