Familypark has unveiled its latest attraction: Azurgo, a 12-meter-high giant swing that spectacularly prepares visitors for “dragon flights.”
Launch of Azurgo
Familypark recently introduced Azurgo, an impressive new attraction that takes visitors on an exhilarating journey. The swing reaches a height of 12 meters and provides a fascinating backdrop for the backstory in which young dragons are prepared for their first flights.
Technical details and manufacturer
The attraction was developed by the renowned German company ART Engineering, known for its innovative amusement park attractions. Azurgo accommodates sixteen people per ride, making it an ideal destination for groups and families.
Location and Surroundings
The installation of Azurgo took place at the site of a former vintage car track. This area has now gained a fresh character with the new theme world centered around industrious gnomes. The vintage cars from the previous attraction have not disappeared; they have been repositioned elsewhere in the park under the name Oak Convoy.
Additional Attractions and Changes in the Park
In addition to Azurgo, Familypark also houses the Stellarium, a Nebulaz carousel that has been attracting visitors since 2011. This was also provided by Zamperla, another leading manufacturer of amusement park equipment.
Changes in the Fairy Tale Forest
In another development, Familypark has introduced changes to the Fairy Tale Forest. The previously borrowed figures have been replaced with new, three-dimensional figures, while the rest are now presented two-dimensionally in the form of flat decorations. This change fits into the park's continuous development and adaptation to modern visitor needs.
