As the leaves turn and darkness descends a tad earlier in the fall, things get particularly spooky at Familypark. Austria's largest amusement park, fresh from its 55th-anniversary celebrations, is gearing up for another major event: The 10th anniversary of its Halloween celebrations, set to take place from October 25th to November 5th, 2023.
An Exclusive Show for All Ages
From October 26th to November 4th, park visitors are in for a spectacular show experience. Guests will be treated to four shows daily. The children's show will predominantly feature the park's mascot, Filippo, embarking on a thrilling spooky adventure. The evening performances, on the other hand, promise a more sinister ambiance: Acrobats from Ukraine and the awe-inspiring LED Hula Hoop artist Anika Hakala, a finalist from
“Finland got Talent”, are set to dazzle audiences with their performances.
Dare to Enter: The Haunted House and Alternatives for Younger Guests
Another highlight of the Halloween roster is the House of Black Magic. This year, new creatures have been added, making the experience even more spine-chilling. Recommended for visitors aged 14 and above, the Haunted House promises pure adrenaline. Younger guests, meanwhile, can delve into Dragomir's Dragon Cave – a less intimidating yet equally riveting adventure.
Ambiance and Attractions
The entire park will be dressed up in Halloween flair: light installations, unique decorations, and the nightly Halloween parade, where vampires and other eerie beings will roam the park. Special attention will also be directed towards the Shadow Magician, performing near the Stellarium, and Alex Neumayer, who crafts impressive works of art from simple pumpkins.
Record-breaking Pumpkin Exhibition
Familypark proudly showcases Austria's largest pumpkin again this year. Weighing in at an impressive 884.50 kg, this pumpkin has set a new record. Another pumpkin weighing 720.80 kg is also sure to draw many admiring glances.
Important Information for Visitors
For those who don't want to miss this unique Halloween experience, it's advisable to purchase tickets online in advance. Even annual pass holders should make reservations ahead of time. On-site, only a limited number of tickets are available.
Safety and Dress Guidelines
The park emphasizes the importance of kid-friendly costumes and kindly asks guests to refrain from wearing particularly scary masks, such as those made of latex. Some areas of the park may be closed after dark for safety reasons.
