With the arrival of spring in 2024, the park will not only kick off a new season but also open two new roller coasters, set to significantly raise visitors' adrenaline levels.

“Voltron Nevera”: A Roller Coaster of Superlatives

The announcement of “Voltron Nevera”, a roller coaster stretching over 1.4 kilometers, has already created a buzz. Distinguished by its backward rides, spectacular loops, and extreme accelerations, this roller coaster promises a unique experience. Named after a futuristic concept, “Voltron Nevera” reflects Europa-Park's spirit of innovation and commitment to technical excellence.

Reopening of “Alpenexpress Enzian”

Alongside the introduction of “Voltron Nevera”, the “Alpenexpress Enzian”, which was damaged in a major fire in June, is set to reopen. Roland Mack, the founder and park director, emphasized the significance of this reopening and revealed that the coaster will now follow an entirely new route. Instead of passing through a hall, it will traverse an impressive rocky landscape, offering riders an even more intense experience.

The Start of the Summer Season 2024

The start of the 2024 summer season on March 23rd at Germany's largest amusement park will mark a historic moment with these new additions. The investments and improvements follow a challenging year in which parts of the park were damaged by fire. This fire, which broke out in a technical room of the “Yomi-Magic World of Diamonds” attraction, led to extensive reconstruction efforts.

Safety and Innovation Post-Fire

Roland Mack announced that Europa-Park has learned from this incident and will implement enhanced safety measures, particularly in the ghost train area, to further reduce risks and ensure a safe experience for all visitors.

Visitor numbers and ticket prices

Despite last year's challenges, the park expects a strong visitor response, with a forecast of over six million guests in the current fiscal year, matching last year's record. However, visitors should be prepared for slightly increased ticket prices. A standard day ticket will cost between 61.50 and 69.50 euros, depending on the day of the week, representing a price increase of about seven percent.

“Voltron Nevera powered by Rimac” and the New Croatia Themed Area

The full name of the new roller coaster, “Voltron Nevera powered by Rimac”, points to an exciting partnership with Rimac, a company known for its innovations in the automotive sector. This underscores Europa-Park's modernity and forward-thinking approach. Alongside the coaster, a new Croatia-themed area is being developed, featuring a tower with a dome reminiscent of Nikola Tesla's Wardenclyffe Tower in New York. This area is not only a highlight for roller coaster enthusiasts but also aims to appeal to those interested in culture and history.

With the upcoming opening of “Voltron Nevera” and the reopening of “Alpenexpress Enzian”, as well as the introduction of the Croatia-themed area, Europa-Park is setting new standards in the amusement park industry. These developments signify a clear commitment to innovation, quality, and the visitor experience. Visitors can therefore look forward to a season full of excitement, thrills, and new experiences that will be memorable.
