An unexpected technical issue has prompted Europa-Park to temporarily shut down the boat ride "Josefina's Imperial Magic Journey". The problem? An underwater cable, responsible for safely guiding the rafts, appears to have been dislodged.
Visitors hoping for a romantic nine-minute boat tour across the picturesque lake in the Austrian-themed area will have to wait for a while. Without the guiding cable, some boats seem to drift aimlessly across the water, rendering the attraction's regular operation impossible.
"Josefina's Imperial Magic Journey" is a relatively new addition to the park, having been introduced only in 2022. It continues the legacy of the Jungle Raft Ride, an attraction that has delighted generations of park visitors since 1975. And just recently, new decorative elements were added to enhance the experience for visitors even further.
A vigilant visitor managed to capture the technicians' efforts. Photos show them, equipped in sturdy waders, attempting to fix the problem in the middle of the water.
It remains uncertain as to when the boat ride will resume its operations. However, one thing is for sure: Europa-Park will spare no effort in ensuring the safety of its guests.
