The picturesque town of Ischgl recently hosted the Star Cup of Chefs, where renowned chef Peter Hagen-Wiest from the “Ammolite – The Lighthouse Restaurant” at Europa-Park Resort shined.
Event Location and Time
This year's Star Cup of Chefs, which annually gathers the culinary elite, took place in Ischgl. Established in 1997 and now a cult favorite in the culinary scene, the event regularly attracts prominent chefs.
Competition Format
Participants, including 2-star chef Peter Hagen-Wiest, were challenged to collect ingredients in a “smugglers' round” before competing in teams in a live cooking contest. Each team, supported by local award-winning chefs, had 20 minutes to impress a jury of cooking legends, including Hans Haas, the Obauer brothers, Johann Lafer, and Peter Knogl.

The winning team consisted of Peter Hagen-Wiest and 3-star chef Edip Sigl, along with the team from the award-winning Schlossherrnstube Restaurant, highlighting the high-quality and innovative power of their culinary creations.

Under the leadership of Peter Hagen-Wiest, the “Ammolite – The Lighthouse Restaurant” located in the Bell Rock Hotel at Europa-Park Resort has received significant recognition—awarded two Michelin stars for the tenth consecutive year. It was also honored by Gault&Millau with three red chef's hats, further cementing its position in high-quality cooking.
