The Europa-Park kicks off the 2025 season with a fresh design for the Silverstone-Piste in the English-themed area. Starting in 2025, this iconic racetrack will be dedicated to the animated film “Grand Prix of Europe,” featuring the park’s beloved mascots Ed, Edda, and the Night Raven. A video shared on Instagram and X already showcases some of the vehicles getting a vibrant makeover.
Fifty Years of Silverstone-Piste with a New Design
Since Europa-Park opened its gates in 1975, the Silverstone-Piste has been one of its original attractions and will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2025. To mark the occasion, the racetrack embraces the “Grand Prix of Europe” theme, with the film set to premiere in the summer of 2025. The vehicles sport a new paint job and special decals inspired by Ed, Edda, and the Night Raven. Thanks to the skilled paint team, three cars now perfectly reflect the movie’s style. Starting in the 2025 season, guests can race the track in these revamped vehicles representing the popular characters.
The Story Behind Grand Prix of Europe
The film “Grand Prix of Europe” follows Edda, who dreams of becoming a race car driver. Guided by her idol, the racer Ed, she seizes her chance at the 50th European Grand Prix. The Night Raven joins the trio, adding extra excitement to the plot. Ed Euromaus himself decided it was time for a change and initiated the Silverstone-Piste refresh.
New Attraction Enhances the Film Experience
The “Grand Prix of Europe” theme will extend beyond the Silverstone-Piste in 2025. Alongside the racetrack’s redesign, the interactive dark ride “Ed & Edda Grand Prix Edventure” will debut. This new attraction also draws from the animated film’s storyline, enriching the experience for visitors. The link between the racetrack and the dark ride creates a cohesive adventure centered on Ed, Edda, and the Night Raven.
