Saxony’s Minister-President Michael Kretschmer recently visited Europa-Park in Rust. During a private short vacation with his family, he took the opportunity to experience the park’s latest attractions and praised the innovative spirit of the Mack family, the park’s operators.

Impressed by the Family-Friendly Offerings

Kretschmer expressed his admiration for Europa-Park’s wide range of entertainment, especially highlighting the family-friendly environment. “I feel very comfortable here and am impressed by the extensive offerings for families,” the Minister-President remarked. Together with his family, he explored numerous attractions that cater to both children and adults. Europa-Park, known for its diverse range of activities, proved to be an ideal destination for Kretschmer’s family.

Rides on Roller Coasters and VR Attractions

One of the highlights of the visit was riding several of the park’s roller coasters. Kretschmer enjoyed experiencing the park’s coasters, which provided a mix of thrills and fun. In addition to the roller coasters, Kretschmer and his family also took part in many virtual reality attractions that enhanced the traditional ride experiences with cutting-edge technology. The integration of VR into classic rides highlights Europa-Park’s commitment to innovation.

Eatrenalin: A World First

Besides the roller coasters, Kretschmer also tested Europa-Park’s latest culinary attraction, “Eatrenalin.” This world-first experience combines cutting-edge technology with fine dining, going far beyond a traditional restaurant visit. Kretschmer was fascinated by this unique blend of gastronomy and high-tech. The experience demonstrates Europa-Park’s ambition to set new standards, not just in entertainment, but also in experiential dining.

Praise for the Mack Family

During his visit, Kretschmer extended significant praise to the Mack family, the operators of Europa-Park. “I appreciate the cleanliness in Europa-Park and the high level of innovation from the Mack family,” he stated. He emphasized that the Mack family drives forward future-oriented topics with “passion, foresight, and creativity.” Kretschmer particularly highlighted that the family is constantly looking for new ways to evolve the park, saying, “This is a family of entrepreneurs who prove that standing still is not an option.”

Connection between MACK Rides and Saxony

Kretschmer was also pleased to see the connection between Europa-Park and Saxony. The largest roller coaster in Saxony, “Dynamite” at Freizeitpark Plohn, was manufactured by MACK Rides, the renowned ride manufacturer from Waldkirch. This close connection between the company and his home state was a special highlight for Kretschmer during his visit.

Private Vacation After Official Engagement

Kretschmer’s visit to Europa-Park followed an official engagement, where he attended the German Children’s Fund award ceremony. Afterward, he took the opportunity to enjoy a private, short vacation with his family in Rust. The visit allowed him to fully experience the park’s many attractions and witness firsthand the innovative offerings of Europa-Park.
