Europa-Park unveils the "Voltron Nevera powered by Rimac" in the new Croatian-themed area, an innovative roller coaster that captivates visitors with its advanced technology and profound storytelling.

Groundbreaking Technology and Ride Experience

The "Voltron Nevera powered by Rimac," engineered by MACK Rides, revolutionizes roller coaster experiences with innovative propulsion technologies. Spanning 1,385 meters in length and reaching up to 32.5 meters in height, this Multi Launch Coaster features four acceleration sections, including a globally unique backward launch. Its seven inversions and a total of 2.2 seconds of weightlessness, coupled with the steepest launch in the world at 105 degrees, provide a supreme ride experience.

In-depth storytelling and Croatian culture

The design and narrative of the coaster are inspired by Nikola Tesla, a pioneer of electrical engineering born in Croatia. The storyline follows Tesla as he initiates the electric age with the help of the Adventure Club of Europe. This narrative thread is extended throughout the coaster, especially within the station building, which is styled after an old Croatian hydroelectric power plant and serves as a backdrop for Tesla’s groundbreaking discoveries.

Landscaping and Thematic Integration

The ride weaves through a meticulously recreated Croatian landscape, complete with authentic plant species and a spectacular 800-year-old olive tree. These elements are not just visually appealing but also create a dense atmospheric experience that immerses visitors directly into Tesla’s world and Croatian culture.

Multimedia and Interactive Offerings

Beyond the main attraction, Europa-Park enhances the experience with a variety of interactive and multimedia options. The augmented reality app "Voltron chARge" allows users to replicate Tesla's experiments at home. Meanwhile, "Magic Cinema 4D" transports visitors into the story of Nikola Tesla through cutting-edge 4D technology, enhanced with effects like wind, scents, and motion seats.

Culinary and Cultural Experience

The newly designed Croatian-themed area offers more than just the roller coaster; it also provides a range of culinary delights. Visitors can enjoy refreshing ice cream variations at the “Sunce i Lavanda” café or browse the “Suveniri Nikola” shop. Additionally, there is a snack bar serving traditional Croatian cevapcici and an exhibition dedicated to Croatia’s achievements.

Partnership with Rimac

The collaboration with Mate Rimac, a leading figure in electric vehicle development, is central to the coaster's concept. This partnership reflects not only the ride's name but also its focus on advanced technology and sustainable innovation.

Extensive Construction Project

The realization of the coaster was an extensive project that took over two years to complete on an area of 20,000 square meters. Numerous specialists and departments within the MACK Group were involved, creating a seamless and integrated experience that sets new standards in terms of technology, storytelling, and atmosphere.

Records and Technical Milestones

“Voltron Nevera” holds several records: it is the longest launch coaster in Europe and has the most inversions of any launch coaster globally. Additionally, the ride showcases impressive technical components, such as the complex LSM (Linear Synchronous Motor) launch mechanisms and exquisitely designed seats, which are modeled after historic leather seats.
