On September 10, 2023, Europa-Park in Rust once again rolled out the red carpet. But this time, not for celebrities or media representatives, but for large families. A noteworthy collaboration between the amusement park and the Ministry for Social Affairs, Health, and Integration of Baden-Württemberg granted over 300 individuals free admission to Germany's largest amusement park.

The initiative, which took place at the end of the summer holidays, aimed to support families in possession of the State Family Pass. The primary goal was to bring joy especially to those families with three or more children. Who better to select these fortunate families than the Association for Large Families of Germany (Verband kinderreicher Familien Deutschland e.V.) and the ABC-Club e.V., an initiative for families with triplets and multiple births?

Jürgen Mack, owner of Europa-Park, emphasized the significance of the event during his welcoming address. "It's a privilege to witness such moments - to see children with sparkling eyes enter the park, full of anticipation for the attractions and adventures awaiting them," he remarked. Mack also pointed out how events like these highlight the importance of social commitment from businesses like Europa-Park.

It wasn't just the leisure industry recognizing the value of this special day. Dr. Ute Leidig, State Secretary at the Ministry for Social Affairs, Health, and Integration, also spoke up, expressing her appreciation: "Large families often face the challenge of organizing and funding joint leisure activities. Initiatives like the State Family Pass provide a solution. I'm impressed by Europa-Park and the Mack family's generosity. It's precisely these kinds of partnerships that contribute to making our country more family-friendly."

But the day had more in store. As an added treat, families visiting the park under this initiative received an EMOTIONS gift card valued at five euros. A modest gift that enhanced their experience in the diverse European-themed areas of the park.

This special day at Europa-Park underscores the invaluable partnerships between businesses and governmental institutions. Through joint efforts, not only is joy spread, but a statement of social responsibility is made. It demonstrates that solidarity and support in our society still hold paramount importance, and how large families, in particular, can benefit. It's hoped that such initiatives continue to bear fruit, bringing unforgettable moments to large families in the years to come.
