The Easter weekend at Europa-Park was marked by both creative and spiritual events. Hundreds of children participated in a painting activity led by renowned cartoonist Peter Gaymann, while the traditional Easter Monday service brought a contemplative atmosphere to about 200 participants.

Painting Activity with Peter Gaymann

The “blue fire Dome” in the Iceland themed area hosted an extraordinary painting event. Under the guidance of Peter Gaymann, one of Germany's leading cartoonists, the children decorated an over two-meter-high Easter egg and illustrated numerous pictures with humorous Easter motifs. Gaymann, originally from Freiburg and now living near Munich, shared his enthusiasm for the collaboration: “Working with the children was extremely rewarding. It was fascinating to discover so many talents.” Roland Mack, owner of Europa-Park, also expressed his positive opinion about the action, emphasizing Gaymann's likability, humor, and regional connection.

Easter Monday Service: “Church in Europa-Park”

Under the theme “Easter - and the heart rides a roller coaster,” the Easter Monday service took place at the Hotel “Santa Isabel.” Deacon Andrea Ziegler and Deacon Thomas Schneeberger invited guests to experience the Easter and Emmaus stories anew. Through personal stories from three participants and the children's creative portrayal of the story, the service became an interactive experience. The event was musically accompanied by the band “Ungeprobt,” led by Deacon Jörg Lange.

Conclusion

The Easter activities at Europa-Park offered a welcome change and the opportunity for visitors, both young and old, to experience the holidays in a creative and spiritual way. The park once again proved its versatility in entertainment options, extending far beyond the rides.
