In time for the season start, Europa-Park will unveil the interactive 3D dark ride GRAND PRIX EDventure in 2025. This new attraction spotlights the mascots Ed & Edda, immersing visitors in the thrilling world of the animated film GRAND PRIX OF EUROPE. A standout feature for the park’s 50th anniversary, it promises fast-paced fun for families with children aged three and up.

Anniversary Highlight with Ed & Edda

Roland Mack, owner of Europa-Park, emphasizes the attraction’s significance: “GRAND PRIX EDventure is a striking example of how Europa-Park has evolved over the past 50 years. The interactive 3D attraction blends cutting-edge technology with an engaging story, reflecting our commitment to setting new standards.” Marking the jubilee, Ed & Edda receive their first dedicated ride, enhancing the park’s core with a memorable family experience.

Thrilling Racing Atmosphere

The entrance to the Gameplay-Theater, crafted by MACK Rides, captivates from afar. Its spectacular design exudes an action-packed racing vibe, sparking excitement for the adventure ahead. Inside, guests board one of 18 dynamic gondolas for a six-minute interactive 3D journey, joining the Racing Crew to test their skills and teamwork by hitting targets to collect points and energy.

Immersive Experience in Luxemburg Area

In the Luxemburg themed area, MACK One has created an attraction that combines diverse expertise and crafts. With state-of-the-art multimedia integration, meticulous theming, and dynamic animation, visitors step directly into the world of Ed & Edda. Ten distinct sections transport guests through iconic European cities and breathtaking film settings from GRAND PRIX OF EUROPE.

From Cinema to Ride

The animated film GRAND PRIX OF EUROPE will premiere in German cinemas on July 24, 2025, before its global release. This 90-minute cinematic adventure featuring the beloved mascots Ed & Edda is produced by Michael Mack, managing partner of the Europa-Park Erlebnis-Resort and founder of MACK Magic. “With GRAND PRIX EDventure, we bring the film’s universe into Europa-Park, creating a unique, immersive brand experience,” he explains. The blend of interactive ride, movie, and related products showcases the storytelling potential and unites the MACK Group’s expertise in an innovative entertainment concept.

Technical Details of the Dark Ride

GRAND PRIX EDventure accommodates around 1,100 guests per hour, designed by MACK Rides as a Gameplay-Theater. Children aged three and older with a minimum height of 90 cm can ride with an adult, while those eight and up with a minimum height of 130 cm can enjoy it solo. The six-minute ride merges advanced technology with family-friendly excitement, making 2025 a standout year.
