Europa-Park, Germany's largest amusement park, shines in festive splendor during the Advent season, offering its visitors an array of Christmas activities. This year, a special emphasis is placed on inclusion in many events, aiming to provide a joyful experience for all guests, regardless of their individual needs.

Advent Service with an Inclusive Approach

On December 3rd, Europa-Park kicks off the Christmas season with a special event: an inclusive Advent service. Organized in cooperation with the inclusion officers of the Protestant State Church of Baden and the Department of Inclusion-Generations in the Archdiocese of Freiburg, this service is held at the 4-star Superior Hotel "Santa Isabel." Deacons Andrea Ziegler and Thomas Schneeberger lead a service that stands out for its barrier-free design. Sign language interpretation, Braille texts, and an induction loop for the hearing impaired are just some of the measures ensuring the participation of all visitors. The event is musically enriched by the inclusive choir and the Orff group from Johanneskirche Mosbach.

The Magic of Bishop Nicholas

On December 10th, a very special personality visits Europa-Park: Bishop Nicholas. Surrounded by the picturesque setting of the Norwegian Stave Church, he will greet park visitors from 11 am to 5 pm. This encounter, particularly for the youngest visitors, is a magical experience where the bishop distributes little surprises and imparts his blessing.

A Fairy-Tale Afternoon with the "Little Mouse"

From December 16th to 23rd, the "Church in Europa-Park" invites guests to a heartwarming performance. "The Little Mouse Celebrates Christmas" is a story that captivates both young and old. It tells of a little mouse on its way to the crib, finding a special way to be meaningful despite not having a physical gift. This performance, held daily from 2 to 5 pm, promises to be a touching story about the true spirit of Christmas.

Star Singers Bring Blessings and Hope

On January 7th, 2024, marking the end of the Christmas season, Europa-Park will host approximately 100 star singers. These young ambassadors from Germany, France, and Switzerland will bring the traditional blessing "Christus mansionem benedicat" at the entrance of the "Voletarium" in the German-themed area. Their presence also serves a charitable purpose, as they collect donations for global aid projects.

Traditional Nativity Exhibition

A longstanding tradition at Europa-Park is the nativity exhibition in the Norwegian Stave Church. Throughout the entire winter season, visitors can admire various intricately designed nativity scenes. This exhibition combines artistic craftsmanship with the profound meaning of the Christmas story.

Summary

During the Advent and Christmas season, Europa-Park offers a diverse and inclusive program that honors traditions while setting new standards in accessibility for all visitors. Each planned event is designed to celebrate the spirit of the Christmas season and create an atmosphere of joy and communal togetherness. From the special Advent service to meeting Bishop Nicholas and the star singers' campaign, Europa-Park provides a unique backdrop for unforgettable Christmas experiences.
