Europa-Park has made history once again: On September 7, 2024, Germany's largest theme park received the prestigious “Golden Ticket Award” for “Best Theme Park in the World” for the ninth time in a row. The award was presented by Amusement Today at Kennywood Amusement Park in Pennsylvania, USA. Europa-Park beat out renowned competitors such as Walt Disney World and Universal Studios.

The jury praised the park's high quality and variety of attractions, which make the visitor experience in Rust truly unique. Particularly impressive was the successful mix of traditional rides, innovative digital content, as well as top-notch food and accommodation offerings. The rapid reconstruction of the Austria-themed area, highlighted by the “Turnstile Award,” also left a lasting impression.

“Voltron Nevera” was named the Best New Roller Coaster in the World

Another highlight was the award for the “Voltron Nevera powered by Rimac” roller coaster, which opened in April 2024. Designed by MACK Rides, the ride was crowned the best new roller coaster in the world. With innovative ride elements, including the world's steepest launch at 105 degrees, and a captivating storyline, “Voltron Nevera” sets new standards in roller coaster design.

The close collaboration within the MACK group, which was involved in the concept and realization of the attraction, showcases the innovative spirit of the family business. Michael Mack, CEO of MACK One and managing partner of Europa-Park, emphasized the significance of this award: “The recognition of 'Voltron Nevera' shows that we are setting benchmarks internationally and gaining worldwide recognition for our innovation.”

Recognition of the Reconstruction of the Austria-Themed Area

In addition to being named the best theme park and winning the award for “Voltron Nevera,” Europa-Park also received the “Turnstile Award” for the successful reconstruction of the Austria-themed area. Within a year, the “Alpenexpress Enzian” and the “Tiroler Log Flume” were modernized and reopened. This achievement, which highlights the park's commitment to continuous renewal and modernization, was recognized by the jury as an outstanding example of Europa-Park's dedication to quality.

A Strong Statement Ahead of the 50th Anniversary

Roland Mack, founder of Europa-Park, expressed his pride and gratitude for the repeated recognition: “This award, just before our 50th anniversary, means a great deal to us. It is a tribute to our decades of work and our tireless dedication to the highest quality.” Having been awarded “Best Theme Park in the World” multiple times, Europa-Park looks confidently toward the years ahead.

The awards ceremony in the USA not only highlights the park's international success but also reaffirms that the family-owned MACK Rides is one of the leading innovators in the theme park industry.
